Our very own Green Welly Stop Partner - Edward Robertson went down to Glengoyne for a tasting to consider choosing a cask with five other whisky specialists on the 27th August 2009.
There were some very fine casks on offer and the decision making was tough.
The choice was eventually narrowed down to two casks.
After much debate and contemplation they agreed on a cask that was the favourite

Appearance - Golden Amber
Nose - Great first impression, butterscotch, cloves, leather, spice, Seville Oranges with an underlay of chocolate, fabulous balance.
Palate - Elegantly rich with sundried fruits, pears, hints of pepper, fresh.
Finish - Plays nicely as it finishes.

Wood Type - Sherry Hogshead
Distilled - 16th December 1996
Bottled - November 2009

Natural Colour / Unchillfiltered.
