One of only 850 bottles.
From the back of the bottle - Hi Guys, 2008 is the 180th Anniversary of Spingbank Distillery and once again we asked Director of Production, Frank McHardy and Distillery Manager, Stuart Robertson to have a rummage in the dunnage to find something special to bottle for the Springbank Society.
Now bear with us as this is a bit of a tenuous link, but what they found were remnant casks (leftovers from other bottlings mixed together) which are coincidentally a vatting of casks 18 and 28.... see what we've done there eh?
Cask 18 was a refill sherry butt distilled 23/5/1997 and Cask 28 was a refill sherry hogshead distilled 7/5/1993.
The guys feel that this is a classic Springbank and we ask you to join with us and toast to another 180 years of this odd little distillery
