Cairn O' Mohr Berry Up Wine
Cairn O' Mohr Berry Up Wine
When we were kids during the summer holidays we would get picked up in a van or on a bogie in the morning and get taken up to the berry fields to spend a day at the berries, picking strawberries or raspberries, occasionally blackcurrants. It was great craic. And with us kids, usually a fair bit of mucking about, chucking of berries across the dreel etc. This was in the days when the world was young and life was sweet! Lots of grown ups now, maybe even most, picked berries when they were young, and at the end of the day when it was time to weigh in there would be a long drawn out beeerrry up from the grieve. And if you were one of the money grubbers you'd grown because you didnae make as much as you'd hoped, but for most of us, it was, at last!! Time for Tea. Crispy Cod Fries!!
