Long Neck Sauvignon Blanc 2009 - White Wine - 75cl

 

Pale straw colour, the nose displays hints of grassiness and gooseberries. Fresh, lively and crisp acidity in the mouth, mouthwatering and appetising, with a lingering finish of tropical fruit and citrus flavours.
Perfect as an aperitif and with seafood, asparagus and chicken salads.
Content - 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Ageing - Stainless steel – unoaked
Volume - 12.5%

 

The name Long Neck was chosen because, like the giraffe, the partners find themselves in an extremely advantaged position. The giraffe's height allows it to feed on the succulent leaves and fruit that other animals cannot reach. The Long Neck range makes it easy for winelovers to take home a giraffe because there's a giraffe for everyone!
Indeed, the partners at Long Neck Wines have their own real life giraffe, having adopted 'Leila'. A contemporary zoo in the busy port of East London, on South Africa's east coast, is her home. Leila is very gentle, affectionate and approachable and particularly enjoys being scratched behind her ears.
