"I found myself at the distillery for one reason or another but was a bit disappointed due to the refit (finished by now), tours were not available at the time. However to make up for it the staff at the shop at the time of the visit were ever so helpful. I didn’t need to be a collector and to enthuse the staff in to tasting, they were excellent in describing the physical background of each whisky, not only the taste but HOW to taste properly to reach the full flavours of each sample. Eventually a bottle of the signed managers bottle was purchased, I do collect!!, Polo shirt of a superior quality & a distillers edition was bought. This was duly opened on returning to Wales, the flavours are amazing compared to anything tasted at home, I'm not going to ramble on about tasting, as flavour I find, is an individuals preference, I may taste sweet where others may taste burnt rubber & mothers dumplings!!!, bit extreme but you know what I mean! Although I strongly recommend this as a special treat if your team makes a six nations championship match look like a training session!! Or you need to introduce someone to the world of tasting something that has been shrouded in snobbery for years!! Agreed It is at the upper end of the bottle to enjoy & drink but the returns on the palate are worth it!!"
